Although it is said that general Hidetada Tokugawa built old main gate with the five-storied pagoda in 1608, and it was designated as the old national treasure as a magnificent gate of the Momoyama term, it was destroyed by fire by the air raid in 1945, and was rebuilt by reinforced concrete in 1977.
