Yasaka pagoda (Hokanji temple)
Yasaka-no-to is a temple called Hokan-ji. In the narrow precincts of a temple, the conspicuous construction is not located other than a five-storied pagoda. A five-storied pagoda is 49m in height. The present pagoda is rebuilt by Yoshinori Ashikaga at the Muromachi period in the height which ranks second to the five-storied pagoda in To-ji and Kofuku-ji. Important cultural property.
