As for the lantern used with Hoko and Yama of Gion Matsuri, the one that Japanese paper was almost put on the bamboo is used. There are about 2200 Komagata lanterns 32 Hoko and Yama in total. Now has increased by the fluorescent lamp's being used in 2008 when having switched to the LED lamp now.
