Great Buddha Hall in Todaiji Temple (Nara Japan)

The Great Buddha

There is about 14.7-meter in the height of the image present Great Buddha. The majority was repaired to Kamakura Period as for the body, and the head was made in Edo period. However, the one in the Tenpyo age remains in the plinth. It seeming had been weather-beaten since a fire up to 1709 with which present Great Buddha was built for a long term.
