Geppa-ro

Geppa-ro is a tea house facing the pond, where people used to enjoy watching the moon. The name "Geppa-ro" (House of the Moon and Ripples) is derived from a poem by the Chinese poet, Bai Ju-yi, and as the name indicates, this building is specially designed for enjoying the reflection of the moon on the pond.
