Omote-somon gate

Omote-somon, the Front Gate, has thick gateposts of polished log and door leaves of polished bamboo, along with polished bamboo fence. Inside the gate, a gentle upward slope of fine pebbles leads to the Miyuki-mon gate of the Lower Villa.
