Pine-lined path

There is an open space out of the east gate of the Lower Villa, there is a pine tree-lined path to go to the Middle Villa and the Upper Villa. Pine is pruned low, so as not to detract from the surrounding landscape. When the royal visit of Emperor Meiji, pine trees this, as was being built to carriage can go through. On both sides of the pine trees, the countryside has become a widespread terraced rice fields. Now, it is cultivated by contract farmers.
