Chitose bridge

Chitose bridge connects Bansho-u and an island, on which Kyusui-tei located. Piers of this bridge of piled hewn stones. The pier the east side is decorated with a pyramidal roof with a Chinese phoenix of gilt copper on top, while the one in the west side is equipped with a small arbor that has a hipped roof.
