Todaiji temple
Hokke hall (Sangatsudo hall)
Sangatsu hall is oldest of all buildigs whthin the Todaiji Temple precincts. It was built in 729, more then ten years before construction was initiated on the Great Buddha Hall. A small chapel was added during Kamakura Pepiod, giving the structure its present overallshape.
