There is a folding screen festival that decorates the folding screen and the work of art etc. of the old family, the merchant, etc. or the heirloom at the eve of Gion Matsuri and opens it to the public to the passer-by. The number also of houses where the house that was built in the building and replaced also has opened a lot of folding screens to the public has decreased.
