The Katsura Rikyu Imperial Villa, which was designed by the Imperial Prince Toshihito, originally was villa of the Hachijo-no-miya Imperial family. The villa has a landscape garden with artificial hills, ponds, and streams. This garden is a go-round style. A variety of objects found in natural landscape, such as hills, hill-sides with flowering plabts, bays, sandbars, and streams are reproduced in this garden.
