Konkai-Komyoji Temple (Kyoto Japan)
Famous pine
Naozane Kumagai who was the general searched for the Honen saint in 1193 and it became a priest. It is told that the armor is washed on the pond, the armor is worn to this pine tree, and it became a priest. The cell remains as a Kumagai-do temple now. A present pine is the second generation, and the Kyoto City specification preservation tree in 2003.
