Buddha statues of tree
There is a small hall beside the main gate of Tokoji temple. The Koyasu Kannon statue of tree has been enshrined in this hall. The statue carved in trees, the trees grow, covers the bark. Wood carved of this statue was withered by lightning in the Meiji era. The cut and was placed in the hall. Kannon image in the depths of the bark is mysterious.
