Jikokuten statue
Nakamon Gate was rebuilt in 1716. Jikokuten has been enshrined on the west side of the gate. This statue has been said to work of Yamamoto Junkei sept with Vaisravana on the east side. Jikokuten is the guardian of the East originally, but located on the west side in this gate.
