Hakogi House is an old house located in the northern part of Kobe. This house is estimated to be Japan's oldest. Main house was built in the first half of the Muromachi period, Hanare was built in the mid-Edo period. Two houses are a thatched, It is designated as an important cultural property. These houses have been relocated in 1979, because they are submerged by the Donto dam construction.
