Ichijo Avenue, which runs directly east from the archaeological site of the Heijo Palace grounds, is also known as Saho Road. And, west is known Saki Road. Heijo Imperial Palace was constructed in 710, and continued till 794. It is dotted with old Buddhist temples and this road is walking course.
