Kobe Luminarie is the annual event since Hansin-big-earthquake. In 1995, Kobe city was hit by big earthquake. Kobe Luminarie is a Requiem with lllumination and music. The first Kobe Luminarie was held in December 1995. This year, 21th Kobe Luminariee it has been held. This event has become a winter tradition. Previously light bulb had been used, and LEDs are used for all of the lighting from this year.
